It’s that time of year and we have holiday tunes playing on repeat at the FEED HQ. Have a listen to some of our holiday playlist picks!
Rocking around the Christmas Tree Lauren’s pick
A Christmas Song Jennifer’s pick
As much as I love Mariah Carey, my favorite is "A Christmas Song" by Nat King Cole. I love this holiday song because Nat King Cole has the most wonderful, warm voice and in the song he wishes everyone a merry Christmas. It's such a simple but beautiful message. It also reminds me of how lucky I am to be surrounded by my loved ones at Christmas time.
White Christmas Katy’s pick
Way too hard. I'm the one that plays Christmas music non-stop from the day after Thanksgiving. ANYTHING Bing Crosby - I'll go with White Christmas because it may be the most classic ever. Swoon.
I'll Be Home for Christmas Emily’s pick
Baby It's Cold Outside Kim’s pick
I’m going with Louis Armstrong's "Baby It's Cold Outside" and of course the one and only Mariah’s "All I Want for Christmas is You!
Happy Xmas Jenny's pick
Oh, Come Emanuel Lindsey’s pick
The Christmas season means a lot of different things to a different people, but this song encapsulates so beautifully what it means to me personally—hope in the midst of a broken world.
Christmas Wrapping Melissa’s pick
I first heard this song when I was little and I remember falling in love with it immediately! The upbeat tune was so catchy and it’s still the first song I play to ring in the Holiday Season.
Baby It's Cold Outside Kristina’s pick
Silent Night Katie’s pick
We sang this song at my first choir concert when I was a kid. I practiced it over and over again, despite my mom insisting I “take a break” after 7pm. To this day when I hear “Silent Night” I’m taken back to my eight-year-old self, standing on our hearth (my stage) and holding a brush for a make-shift microphone, while my audience of 3 (my mom, dad and sister) applauded from the couch.
Blue Christmas Kirby’s pick
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas Tascha’s pick
"Let your heart be light." Given all the darkness that is happening around the world and in the lives of the children and families we assist, this is a simple wish for all who are suffering: that their hearts be light. I'm so proud to say that I am doing my small part to make this a reality for others.
