Lauren's Letter: May

Letter from Lauren: May

Ah, May. The days get warmer and brighter, trees and flowers bloom, and the anticipation of summer hangs in the air. I've been making plans, seeing friends, planning summer escapes, planting my garden, and spending time with my boys outdoors whenever we can, as they look forward to their last days of school and the unbridled thrill of summer vacation.

This past month brought heaviness and darkness too, blocking out some of the light. As the founder of a company designed to enact positive change and harness our power to build the better, kinder, more equal world we'd all like to live in, it's difficult to feel powerless to the pattern of disaster after disaster. Of division and inaction.

If anything, it throws me deeper into the work that we do at FEED. Our mission, but also our values and our community. We've built and attracted such a kind, forward-thinking group of activists, change-makers, and do-gooders who rally around our cause, our planet, and our future generations. So thank you for joining us and for believing in a better future with us.

Here are a few things I've been loving & living in this past month

Change Making

Last month, we changed the donation on our Women's Equality Tote, as well as our relaunched Woman on a Mission Tote, to help support Planned Parenthood. In standing with all women and their right to health and reproductive care, we've already helped raise over $1300.

Comin' Soon

Summer is here and we have so much goodness coming for June (and beyond). Take a sneak peek and join the waitlists for some of what's coming up soon.

How do I clean my Work Bag?

I carry this bag so often! With all of our bags, we recommend spot cleaning to maintain the bags shape and structure. I personally treat mine with some nontoxic laundry detergent, dish soap, or stain stick.

Reading, Listening, Watching

I have been listening to Florence + the Machine's new album, Dance Fever, on repeat. I also found the two-part podcast about the history of Roe v. Wade by The New York Times The Daily” really enlightening.
