Hi FEED Family,
The air here in NYC is finally starting to carry a hint of Spring and I’m loving every second of it – ahem, reminder to partners & kiddos, that means Mother’s Day is right around the corner! In that spirit, I’m thrilled to let you in on something really exciting, that we’ve been hard at work on for over a year…
If you are a part of our Instagram family, you may have already seen a sneak peek, but the beloved FEED Diaper Bag is back – and better than ever. We haven’t formally launched it yet, so if you’re reading this, you’re the first to know about this incredibly special bag.
As a mama of two in NYC, and the head of a team of all women, motherhood is incredibly near & dear to my heart. As a parent, there are few things more important than simplifying my daily needs, and the needs of my two boys, so I can truly be in the moment with them. I’m sure fellow on-the-go moms, and parents of all kinds, can relate.
The Diaper Bag is the result of that need and truly, if I do say so myself, it’s a fantastic product. It’s highly functional, versatile and chic, and effortlessly weaves giving back into your daily life, through the bags impact– a reflection of everything that we stand for here at FEED.
But you don’t have to just take my word for it! In order to design & test the perfect Diaper Bag, I asked around for input – and as a fun bonus, even jumped behind the camera to personally photograph some of my dearest friends, and their little ones, here in NYC. Getting real feedback from fellow moms (and dads) and seeing firsthand how they use their FEED Diaper bag on the daily was really fun for me!
The new & improved FEED Diaper Bag officially launches tomorrow, but in the meantime, I hope you enjoy this sneak peek of my photoshoot with these really adorable (and squirmy) babies and toddlers and their awesome parents!
You'll just have to wait and see for the rest... xx
My March Faves:
A few of the things I’ve been loving & living in, this month.
Comin’ soon – Let’s keep the sneak peeks going, shall we? In addition to the Diaper Bag, we’re launching a limited-edition tote for Mother’s Day, that I am personally buying for all my mama friends, of all ages. Get your name on the waitlist for the brand new Mom on a Mission Tote – I’m betting they won’t last long.
FEED fave – We launched a very limited-run of floral, artisan-made bags earlier this month and I luckily grabbed a pink one for myself. There are still a few left and they are truly stunning and one-of-a-kind.
Reading – I just read Meg Wolitzer’s latest, The Female Persuasion, after watching "The Wife" movie and loving every minute of it! Also currently reading Parenting from the Inside Out, by Daniel Siegel M.D. and Mary Hartzell M.Ed., which is part self-help, part parenting. It is extremely wise and insightful and I wholeheartedly recommend it for all parents.
Shopping – Since we’re talking motherhood, I am a huge fan of Maisonette for all things for my boys. I also love HATCH, we have even stocked a few of their essentials at the FEED Shop & Cafe. And news alert: Giggle just re-launched online. So excited that this curated shop for babies and kids is back in action!
Change-making – I am a proud supporter of She Should Run and earlier this month, had the pleasure of sitting on a panel with the founder. If you aren’t aware, it’s a nonpartisan organization that helps women run for office. Their #1 tip? If there’s a woman in your life who you think would make a fantastic candidate for office, at any level, tell her. Do it today!
Ask LBL – What skill or personality do you look for most when hiring at FEED?
First and foremost, I look for someone that is hardworking, kind, and will be a strategic thinker when it comes to how we best manage and continue to grow our FEED business. Beyond having the right skill set, I find it is almost more essential that anyone joining our (small and mighty) team is bought into our mission of helping to feed children globally and comes to work everyday with a positive, can-do attitude to help tackle challenges and seize opportunities!
