I don’t know about you, but December has left me feeling a bit tired (unavoidable), but also incredibly inspired & hopeful. Yes, the glitter of the holidays keeps our spirits up and keeps us busy, but this month (and this year) has brought so much more, and since this will be my last letter of 2019, I’m reflecting on the positives.

To name a few – Greta Thunberg was named TIME Magazine’s 2019 “Person of the Year,” the most diverse class of lawmakers ever was sworn into the 116th Congress, FEED launched our first-ever Kids’ Collection and then FEED Home, introducing more opportunities for our incredible customers to do good. And FEED, thanks to you, was able to help provide 260,989 school meals from online sales during cyber weekend alone – that is amazing!!! Keep an eye out for our giving report in Jan for more. Overall, 2019 brought a tide of new thinking, new perspectives, and change, as more and more customers like you are making (and demanding) conscious choices.

As we gather with loved ones to celebrate the holidays and close out a decade (!), let’s look ahead to 2020 with positivity, kindness, and love. I, for one, am endlessly thankful for this community and all that we can accomplish together, so thank you.

Happy holidays & a very happy New Year!

Here are some of the things I've been loving and living in, this past month.

Earlier this month, I had the privilege of helping to bring families together, with the help of my friend Naomi Davis of Love Taza to volunteer with the Food Bank for New York City. We helped folks shop in the Community Kitchen pantry, wrapped gifts, baked cookies and put together personal care kits. It is something I look forward to doing with my family more in the coming year.

Although I’m tempted to pick all of the FEED Home Collection as my FEED fave this month, the Handloomed Apron has been a standout for me this holiday hosting season. Plus, my older son has loved donning his kiddo version and “helping” in the kitchen.

As seen in
You may have seen us around this holiday season, one of my favorites was this month’s InStyle Magazine, we were thrilled to be featured in the gift guide, as well as a piece on my beloved Colorado, check it out for all of my fave places to visit.

If you’re celebrating Christmas, and still in need of a gift (no judgment), we recently launched e-gift cards, which are an effortless last-minute gift, that I can guarantee they will love. Beyond FEED, I have loved doing my holiday shopping at goop, The Little Market, Maisonette, Lingua Franca, and Hill House Home to name a few.

Reading & Watching
Beyond binge watching "The Crown" on Netflix, I had the pleasure of watching "The Grinch" with my son and it was such a cozy, holiday treat.  I am also in the middle of The Water Dancer, by Ta-Nehisi Coates, and loving it!

Ask LBL: What is your favorite drink and food item at the FEED shop & cafe?
My favorite drink at the FEED Shop & Cafe is our Latte with Oat Milk. We stock Oatly, which I am hooked on as a milk alternative.  And I highly recommend the Pistachio Cardamom bread from Ovenly
