THE CHALLENGE
It’s hard to believe that hunger is a daily reality for 795 million people around the world—limiting human flourishing, health and potential in far too many communities. The most vulnerable are often children, whose mental and physical growth, and ultimately potential to create a better future, is dependent on this most basic human need.
The hopeful news is that childhood hunger is a solvable problem. By partnering with on-the-ground giving partners, we are improving access to nutritious meals for children in 63 countries around the world, including here in America.
Thanks to you, we’ve provided over 100 million meals to date.
MORE THAN A MEAL
Consistent school meals not only provide children with the nutrition they need to grow, learn and thrive, but also incentivize parents to send them.
Research shows that when children are given school meals, attendance doubles and performance greatly improves. Girls with just a few years of education have fewer children, have them later in life and are better prepared to care for and educate them. For many children, a school lunch is the only meal they receive all day.
ADDITIONAL WAYS TO GIVE
While most of our product donations support school feeding, we respond to the hunger crisis with alternative solutions such as emergency food aid and mother child micronutrients through limited edition collections.
